We are the pioneers of the kite safari in Morocco: join us for an off-the-beaten track journey down the length of our breath-taking Atlantic coastline. You can kite and surf in pristine, empty spots that no one else knows between Essaouira and Dakhla, without missing out on the well-known highlights either.
You will marvel as green hills and fields give way to sun-bleached dunes, with rugged coastlines and deserted beaches stretching as far as the eye can see.
The safari is best suited to confident riders, as many of the sites are wave spots and we can only ensure safety boat coverage once in Dakhla. That said, our guides will be in the water with you and ready to assist with anything. Beginner kiters are of course welcome, but please note that before we reach Dakhla, only Essaouira, Sidi Ifni and Akhfenir (Plage Naila) can offer beginner-friendly kiting conditions to learn in – but this does depend on the wind, so we cannot guarantee!

The standard itinerary takes in the following stops and activities:
Nous sommes les pionniers du kite-safari au Maroc : rejoignez-nous pour un voyage loin des sentiers battus tout le long de notre magnifique côte atlantique. Vous pouvez kiter et surfer dans des spots vides et intacts que personne ne connaît entre Essaouira et Dakhla, sans perdre les points saillants connus non plus.
Vous serez émerveillés par les paysages verts qui se transforment petit à petit en dunes de sable blanchies par le soleil, avec un littoral accidenté et des plages désertes à perte de vue.
Le safari est mieux adapté aux rideurs confiants, puisque beaucoup des sites sont des spots aux vagues et nous pouvons seulement nous assurer de la couverture d’un bateau de sécurité une fois arrivés à Dakhka. Ceci dit, nos moniteurs seront dans l’eau avec vous, prêts à aider avec quoi qui arrive. Les rideurs débutants sont aussi les bienvenus, bien sûr, mais veuillez noter qu’avant d’arriver à Dakhla, seuls Essaouira, Sidi Ifni et Akhfenir (Plage Naila) peuvent offrir des conditions convenant aux débutants dans lesquelles apprendre – mais cela dépend du vent, et ce n’est pas donc garanti !

This is the most economic, and adventurous, way to join the kite safari. You will be camping each night with equipment (tent, mattresses, blanket) provided by Pro Kite Morocco, though of course you can upgrade to an apartment or hotel for a small amount extra
wherever you wish. We pack cooking gear too and are happy to help you prepare tasty picnics or set up a small campfire and barbecue the freshest local produce if you like, though restaurants are always nearby. Not all of the camp spots have showers, but this is just an opportunity to try the Moroccan way, and get a good scrub down at the hammam.

We are completely flexible and can arrange detours to any other location you might want to check out en route, such as Sidi Kaouki, Taghazoute, or Laâyoune, to name but a few.
We are also quite happy to show you places we love in northern Morocco too, such as Chefchaouen or Oukaïmeden (yes, you can ski in the Atlas mountains!) before heading south on the kite safari. Just drop us a line to work out your personalised itinerary, and we’d be glad to make it a reality.
