Youssef was born in Dakhla, and knows the place inside out. He has been kiting for more than 10 years and has been a certified IKO instructor since 2011. Among his personal achievements, he was Moroccan junior freestyle champion in 2012 and Moroccan freestyle champion in 2014 and 2015. He also finished in the top 16 of the freestyle kitesurfing world championships in 2015. Youssef can teach you everything, from beginner level to basic tricks to advanced freestyle – in Arabic (Darija and Hassaniya, or Saharawi), English and French. In addition he is quite an active person with experience teaching surfing, stand-up paddle-boarding (SUP) and guiding visitors to explore the beaches and oases around Dakhla in the desert, so with him you’re all set for no wind days too!
